Cause of suffering

You do experience an external world and sometimes you worry and suffer from what you observe in it.

BUT, before all that, YOU MUST BE ALREADY HERE, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible for you to perceive an external world.

– Which means, you are not what you perceive.

– Which means, the only way you can suffer is by making-up that there is a problem with the things you observe (not everyone agrees with your opinion, nor suffer from what you think causes you suffering).

– Which means, the place YOU ARE LOOKING FROM, is a place, other than the external world, feeling like home, peace, love and aliveness. And you have not even created this place.

– Which means, there is a place, where your true spontaneous nature is JUST HERE, without any struggle, expense or suffering.

Natural Breathing is a great way to:

* OWN YOUR SELF.

* Wake you up from your limiting and painful suffering and give you a direct experience of your Real Self.

Yawning and Natural Breathing

Why do we yawn?

A yawn is the body’s way to get more oxygen/energy/spirit.

And, a Yawn is the lungs way to get satisfactorily stretched to the top.

It happens when we let down our guard against feeling more, unlike the usual decreasing our air intake and numbing out when feelings are presented.

The good news is that a yawn opens up our Natural Breathing and energizes and wakes us up to feeling more.

The not so good news is that a yawn includes tightening of the jaw muscles and thus use up and consume the increased energy that was just received.

The benefit of yawning in a Natural Breathing session is that it flexes and unhooks a blocked chest and wakes us up to be open to feel more.

But once the breathing is open, which happens with one or a few yawns, continuing yawning, more than a few times, leaves us without the increased energy level, we need to expand.

Tetany

If you want to use breathing as your “waking up to success” process, then, first you need to build your energy/prana to such a high level that you are retaining more energy than you use up.

If you do that, first your basic energy demands are met, and then, your surplus energy will have to find new places to go to, which are the areas of yourself, that you have previously shut down, because of traumas and mis-learnings. When your excess energy reaches your restricted areas, it will unlock them and expand you beyond your normal restrictions.

During your expansion process you may have a knee-jerk reaction to resist your new experience. Such a resistance shows up as a holding back – a tightening of your muscles – called “Tetany”. Eventually, you’ll surrender to and enjoy this heightened experience, and thus you let go of Tetany.

You should celebrate when you get Tetany, because then you know you are breathing beyond your Breathing Threshold and therefore a true transformation is taking place.

Tetany is a temporary tightening of some of your muscles.

Tetany is always safe
Tetany is a temporary reaction, that will pass within minutes. You will always leave a Natural Breathing session with your body functioning perfectly.

The first time you have Tetany, it can be startling, if you don’t know what Tetany is and how it works, because the first experience of Tetany is that you feel you lose control of your hands, arms, mouth and face. Your muscles get stiff and you can’t move.

Actually, you can move. You can take total control of your body, if you get distracted out of your resistance. Like, if the fire-alarm goes off, you will instantly act normally and get out.

After you have had the experience of Tetany you know it is safe.

When you feel safe with Tetany, you’ll find it, not only interesting, but valuable to your success.

Most people get Tetany at some time during their sessions.
Tetany is considered an important learning experience of letting go of control.

If you never have Tetany, you are not building a surplus of energy, through breathing and you don’t get-out-of-the-way enough, to arise above your Breathing Threshold, but stay within your no-real-change safe zone.

Should you avoid Tetany?
Some people say you should avoid Tetany. They believe that Tetany is making you too vulnerable and should be avoided and thus they have come up with ways to avoid it, like short 15-minute sessions, breathing through the nose, some inhales and then hold your breath, shallow breathing, moving, dancing, focus outwards on intent, sound etc. These are ways to use up excess energy and miss the magic of a surplus energy, and thus inhibit real transformation.

With the support of an experienced Breath Coach, you can learn to remain above your Breathing Threshold, where Tetany becomes your ally and guide you to let go and live in the now.

Tetany is a “wake-up” call
To let go of something, you first must become aware of what it is that you are letting go of. Tetany is such a strong wake-up call, you can’t ignore it. Tetany is your ally, making sure you don’t harbor mis-taken judgments.

Paying attention to when Tetany shows up, you have a reminder, that you are resisting something.

Honestly investigating your mind, you’ll find “a NO” to something – anything. When you recognize your “no”, Tetany goes away.

Tetany shows up when you build energy, and uncover any buried resistance, and you resist letting it go. By investigating what mind-block you have, and surrendering to it, Tetany goes away, instantly.

Suggestions of how to release Tetany caused by resistance
Tetany is a tensing of muscles and thus pull you below your Breathing Threshold.

Be clear on that it is not the Natural Breathing that is causing Tetany, but part of your journey to releasing resistance to accepting your present life.

Accepting all your experiences leaves you relaxed and free.

Tetany can be caused by a lack of carbon-dioxide
Sometimes, if you struggle and resist a lot, you’ll start to push your exhale out so much that you get a lack of carbon-dioxide. Your body reacts by tightening up, to stop your excessive exhaling, until your breathing is balanced again.

This kind of Tetany does not come from inhaling too much oxygen, even though some call this hyperventilation, but is the correction to exhaling too much carbon-dioxide.

Suggestions of how to release Tetany caused by a lack of carbon-dioxide: “Stop pushing the exhale out”. “Slow down your exhale”. “Relax your exhale”. “Focus on your inhale.”

The ideal way to use Tetany
I call the ideal Natural Breathing session “Walking the Edge of Tetany”. If you don’t ever experience Tetany, you don’t have the right combination of adding energy and using up energy, leaving you without actually retaining more energy than you use up.

The most effective way to do a Natural Breathing session is to breathe so much that you start to notice a little Tetany. Once you notice Tetany, you inquire what it is you are saying “no” to. Once you recognize what you are saying “no” to, that unconscious resistance is gone.

In one session you can go through many breath releases, if you breathe up a storm, notice your resistance, and what you are resisting, and then let it go. Every such incident accomplishes your next level of love, peace and success.

Mouth vs. Nose Breathing

Breathing can be done through your mouth or your nose
Mouth vs. nose breathing shows you whether you tend to engage and relate more with your external world or your internal world.

Mouth breathing
Breathing through your mouth shows that you are physically and emotionally engaged with your life.

Mouth breathing connects you with your physical and emotional experiences.

Whenever you laugh or cry or run or exercise or sigh or yawn, you breathe through your mouth, so Natural Breathing is naturally through the mouth.

Mouth breathing is preferred in Natural Breathing, because it is easier and gives you faster access to a full breath and more air than through the nose. Most effective energy/spirit builder.

Nose breathing
Breathing through your nose connects you with your internal world.

Nose breathing pacifies you. This may be good to do if you want to meditate or calm down.

Nose Breathing is not Natural Breathing, because it doesn’t happen naturally when you let go of sub-ventilating.

Sometimes nose breathing can take place at the end of a session, but is not ideal, since it dis-engages physical and emotional awareness.

Alternating Mouth and Nose breathing
Breathing in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth or any combination thereof uses mental and muscle activity. It takes effort and a certain level of control to constantly change the flow of the air, and thus uses up Life-force, keeping you below the Breathing Threshold.

Unobstructed Natural Breathing is always done through the mouth.

The Six Challenges to Change

If you are looking for change, you are on a Change Journey of removing your issues and improving your status. That sounds good.

But, did you realize that to successfully change, you will be required to learn new things and refrain from old ingrained habitsThis reworking your old ways is a challenging process.

If you take a good look at the times you have previously tried to change, but failed, you will find that you got stuck on one of the Six Challenges and aborted your attempt. Looking closely you’ll also notice that every time you get stuck, you resist the same problem and with the same re-action.

To have a better chance of real change, you can identify what your challenges will be, ahead of time, and practice how to resolve them, instead of acting out old habitual re-actions. Then, when your challenges show up, on your Change Journey, you will be properly prepared for successful progress.

Here, follows a brief description of what you can expect to happen, and the basic order your Challenges tend to appear:

* Your First Challenge – MASTERING CHANGE. When you look for change you will have to encounter what you want to change, so you can Change it. Change requires you to let go of what you are familiar with and learn how to surrender to something you don’t know yet.

* Your Second Challenge – CONSCIOUS CREATION. When your old environment is no longer here, to not end up in another setting that you don’t want to be in, you need to know how to Consciously Create the rest of your life. What do you want to become your new reality? Your Second Challenge is to learn how you to create consciously.

* Your Third Challenge – NATURAL BREATHING. Your Life-force gives you life and power through your breathing. Since you have the power to improve your breathing, you have access to the most powerful tool that can easily propel you into your expanded life. It will catch your non-physical wishes and pull them over the bridge to your physical world. Through limiting life experiences you have learned to suppress your Life-force by sub-ventilating. You’ll overcome this challenge with Natural Breathing.

* Your Fourth Challenge – CHOOSING CONSCIOUSNESS. You can’t experience anything without Consciousness. So, the more joy and success you want to experience, the more conscious you will have to be. Your Challenge to full Consciousness is to recognize when you are and are not fully alert, awake and conscious and how you are diverted from being conscious, so you can choose the correct method to get back in full Consciousness.

* Your Fifth Challenge – CHANGING HABITS. Basically, all you think and do is based on habits. Some are expansive and some destructive. Taking a pull of what habits are opposing or diverting you from your goals and happiness, you’ll know which ones to cease and transform. This will also show you which unfamiliar supportive habits you need to develop.

* Your Sixth Challenge – OPTIMUM LIVING. Once you understand and have practice in mastering your Challenges, you will use, whatever you encounter in your life, as a spiritual practice. You will either celebrate your successes or be excited about what you are learning with your challenge. Either way you’ll feel successful and excited. In Optimum Living all your complaints and blames becomes successes and expanding learning.
